The following guidance pertains to all facilities:

  • Patrons will be screened and have their temperature checked prior to entry
  • Masks are required along with mandatory sanitizer upon entry
  • No cash sales
  • Water fountain closed

Closed Facilities - the following facilities are closed until further notice:

  • Sigsbee Fitness Center
  • Sigsbee Splash Park
  • Flying Conch Lounge

 

CHILD & YOUTH PROGRAMS

Child Development Center (CDC)

The CDC is open Monday – Friday, 7 AM - 5 PM, closed on Saturday and Sunday.

  • Open to mission essential personnel only

Teen Center

The Teen Center will remain closed until further notice.

School Age Care (SAC)

The SAC is open Monday – Friday, 7 AM - 5 PM, closed on Saturday and Sunday.

  • Open to mission essential personnel only

LEVEL CYP-2:

  • All Programs/Services that are NOT full-time childcare (ages 6-12) canceled/postponed until further notice/continual monitoring
  • All Hourly Childcare canceled (unless emergency/ mission essential)
  • All Youth Sports, Youth/Teen Programs, Field Trips away from Navy Childcare facilities canceled
  • No New childcare enrollees into Navy operated programs (unless emergency/mission essential)
  • Parents are required to self-care for own children at home if Navy full-time telework agreement during COVID-19 pandemic is executed, parent fees will be waived/space saved
  • Parents with other non-Navy full-time/temporary telework agreements , who normally work from home, or who are student spouses are required to self-care for own children, parent fees will be waived/space saved
  • Parent fees will be waived/space saved for all personnel who elect to voluntarily temporary withdrawal their child for at least two weeks or until May 1, 2020
  • Installations may request waivers to reduce program operating hours
  • Supplemental staffing required from other N9 programs for increased cleaning/sanitation
    • Background check requirements waived but supplemental staff always in line of sight supervision of “blue smock” CYP employee and not in ratio
    • School Liaison Officers Assigned to SAC to supplement
  • All training requirements postponed
  • All Teacher in-Service Days canceled
  • Increased hand washing and sanitation practices (e.g. cleaning door handles, hard surfaces, etc.)
  • Minimize visitors (e.g. postpone all non-critical facility maintenance)
  • Staff shall complete all sign in/out protocols
  • Discontinue Family Style Dining (staff will plate food for children)
  • Discontinue Tooth Brushing and Use of Sensory Tables

During COVID-19, childcare is based on availability, a Mission Essential Declaration Form, and in accordance with the family designated priorities listed below:

            a.  Naval Branch Health Clinic, Key West employees;

            b.  CYP employees;

            c.  Single Active Duty Service Members;

            d.  Dual Active Duty Service Members; and

            e.  Dual mission essential personnel (e.g., an E-5 Air Traffic Controller and their spouse, a Key West Police officer; or a Department of Defense civilian public affairs  officer and their partner, a Monroe Country electrical response technician).

                        1.  Medical/healthcare workers, and first responders;

                        2.  Law enforcement and government/national defense personnel;

                        3.  Food workers and handlers, (including commercial food distribution service, grocery store, and agriculture, not including restaurant servers and hospitality workers);

                        4.  Critical infrastructure (e.g., energy, water, waste management, mail/parcel delivery, public works, etc.);

                        5.  Telecommunications and information technology systems; and

                        6.  Federal, State and Monroe County essential workers.

FITNESS FACILITIES, SPORTS, AQUATICS & CLASSES 

Aquatics

Trumbo Pool – OPEN

  • The Trumbo Pool is open to all authorized patrons
  • Hours of operation: 11 AM - 5 PM Friday & Saturday, 12 - 5 PM Sunday
    • 4 - 5 PM Lap Swim only on Friday, Saturday & Sunday
  • Capacity: Maximum of 5 family groups - 1 family per designated pavilion
    • Maximum of 5 people per family group
    • 1 hour max per family group
  • Pool Rules
    • Mask required for all patrons over the age of 6 - if not in water
    • Outdoor shower must be used before pool entry
    • Social distancing required 
    • Personally supplied water is the only authorized beverage at the pool
      • No food of any kind
  • Restrictions
    • Locker rooms and showers are closed - restrooms open 
    • Water fountains closed

Fitness Centers

Sigsbee Fitness Center - CLOSED

  • The Sigsbee Center is closed until further notice

Truman Fitness Center - OPEN

  • The Truman Fitness Center is open to Active Duty only
    • Monday - Friday 5 - 9 AM & 4 - 8 PM
      • Closed Saturday & Sunday
    • Maximum capacity of 10 people - this includes staff and patrons
    • No use of gym bags, showers, or locker rooms
    • Restrooms remain open
    • No spotters

Boca Chica Fitness Center – OPEN

  • Boca Chica Fitness Center is open to Active Duty only: maximum capacity 20 patrons
    • Monday - Friday 5 - 9 AM, 10 AM - 1 PM & 2 - 8:30 PM
      • Closed from 9 - 10 AM & 1 - 2 PM for deep cleaning
      • Saturday: 9 AM - 12 PM & 1 - 4 PM
        • Closed 12 - 1 PM for deep cleaning
      • Sunday: closed
  • No use of gym bags, rental equipment, towel service, showers, saunas or locker rooms
  • Restrooms remain open
  • No spotters

All group exercise classes, Captain's Cup and Sports Activities have been cancelled until further notice.
